“You learn more from failure than from success. Don’t let it stop you. Failure builds character.” – Unknown

Last week we talked about our journey being a major part of our success, how being able to look at the whole picture while still giving each passing day your attention and best efforts is a huge part of that success.

This week I want to talk about the failure part of success, the getting knocked down, brushing yourself off and walking your path again…part of success. I truly believe that you cannot have success without going through the ringer to get there. We learn more from the time that we fall down than we do when we succeed.  As driven people we hit so many road blocks in my life,  but the one thing that we won’t allow is those road blocks stop us from continuing down the path that we have laid for ourselves. Because as I said last week, we see that end and appreciate the journey for what it is.

Its being able to get through these moments that knock us down that is key. A type if rewiring your mind to see each experience as one for growth, and asking yourself “how can I be better because of this?” I find that those who take criticism to heart, never truly learn from those moments. They are so focused on the embarrassment, that they cannot actually gain something from it, and successfully apply those changes to their lives. This is why some continue to make the same mistakes over and over, which we all know is the definition of insanity; repeating an action or practice the same way, expecting a different result each time.

So when we get knocked down, its important to get back up and keep moving yes, 100%, but take notice that you learn from that fall, that you ask yourself the right questions as to why you fell and what you can do DIFFERENTLY to make the outcome what you want it to be.

Because the better we become, the better we attract.

Check back next week for a view on relationships.
